Dr. Sheena Gawler is LLT's PSI Lead. She is also a PSI/CBE/OEP/EfS Senior Tutor and Senior Assessor. She is a qualified Assessor (D32/33/34) and has a Cert Ed. She previously worked for YMCA Fitness Industry Training as a Senior Course Director / Assessor. She is co-author of Age UK's Strength and Balance Exercise Booklet and has co-directed two videos for exercise for frailer older people (Age UK). She is also a researcher, having worked at University College London on the ProAct65+ trial, and at Northumbria University on a study investigating PSI for visually impaired older people. Her PhD looked at the impact of the exercise instructor on the effectiveness of the falls management exercise programme (FaME).
